About Pure Rawk
Sick of seeing the same old faces in print? Frustrated with not seeing enough of real rock talent? Look no further than Pure Rawk. Hot interviews, fresh off the press releases - Pure Rawk was established in February 2006 with the aim of giving coverage to UK (and now worlds) unsigned, break through or non mainstream talent.
Without naming and shaming ... rather than opting for the latest news on 'whatever-band-is-a-la-mode' toilet habits, Pure Rawk looks to expose bands with raw and potentially huge talent through interviews and reviews. It also acts as a critical platform for artist material with extensive gig and release reviews. Pure Rawk does not operate on a pure praise basis, it gives credit where it is due and generally, most material that is sent to us is reviewed, good or bad.
Covering a wide range of rock from glam rock, metal, sleaze rock, punk rock and stuff that pushes the boundaries of what you know and love are what we look for. There's something for everyone. However, Pure Rawk does cover older or more established artistes. It aims to look at what they've done throughout their career and what they're doing next.
